Last week I travelled down to London to see Richmond Park. A place I have been wanting to visit for a long time since buying a photo book by photographer Alex Saberi, ten or so years ago (Book found here).

Richmond Park is the biggest of all Royal Parks in London measuring 2,500 acres in size and has a combination of woodland pasture, freshwater lakes and a small river that runs through it. The habitat is a mosaic of ancient or veteran Oak and Sweet Chestnut trees and open grassland. Wildlife includes Red and Fallow Deer, Grey Squirrels and a range of different bird species including Ring-necked Parakeets, Jay, Egyptian Goose, Jackdaw, Stonechat, Grey Heron, and many other wetland bird species.

I enjoyed my short time here, photographing some of Richmond Parks wildlife. My best photographs from my trip can be seen in the below gallery.

Thankyou for reading this short post on Richmond Park and I hope you enjoy my photography as much as I did taking them.
