Intro Back in February 2019 I went to the Peak District where I manged to see a mountain hare in his white coat which which was an amazing sight to see. This February I started to paint a painting of the hare showing it's moorland and mountainous home. The video and pictures below show the stages of progress through the painting development, from a drawing to finished painting. Stage 1 drawing out the subject. I bit a go I went to Belton House which is owned by the National Trust and is located in Belton near Grantham in Lincolnshire. There I took some photos of the Jackdaws trying to get in to the sweet chestnuts which are hanging from the trees around the house grounds. Hello again, Just thought I would give you an update on my squirrel painting. Last time I said I would be working on his chest, ears and the log which I have but marked the background somehow so I've spend a lot of time with some additional ferns which actually improve the overall picture, these things happen for a reason. Just got to add some finishing touch's and will be complete. Then it's on with the frame which I'm going to restore. Next time I'll be showing it complet

Hello Bloggers, In latest artwork I'm currently painting my favorite photo from my previous blog in latest photos of a very bigger than life red squirrel. This is in a square format and be going in a 29" by 30"inch beautiful restored frame. This is my painting at the moment, still got a lot of work to do on it but wanted to show you guys. Will update when I've done a bit more so you can see how he's shaping up. Next will do more to his chest, his ears and the foreground log.
